We were very pleased with Newco from start to finish. We purchased solar blinds and from beginning to end they were very helpful, knowledgeable and I would certainly recommend them to anyone. Jason explained things clearly and supplied plenty of samples for me to choose from. Dave was very professional, respectful and timely with both his measuring and his installation of the final product. I must say every time I walk into the front room I say to my husband "oh my God I just love these new solar blinds .Why did I wait so long to get them?" Such a positive experience

Leah and Chris were both very professional at every stage of my blind installation process. The location was a little unusual so they came to measure twice - this meant that when Chris arrived with the blind in went up in minutes and fit perfectly.  The blind itself is great - exactly what I had hoped for.  You can see through it but most of the sun is blocked.  I’m looking forward to using it next year.  Thank you Leah and Chris for such a positive experience.

Great Products and Service

Very happy with Newco, Leah and the install crew! At first, we were quite trepidatious with the film and process. Our new custom home has floor to ceiling South facing windows that generate enormous amounts of heat. We were also concerned with UV protection for our floors and furnishing. The as built windows do offer some protection however not nearly enough for large South facing windows/sliding panels. Our central air conditioner would not even keep up with the heat generated. After lengthy consultation we settled on a reflective interior film as the interior has the lifespan and durability we were looking for in a nearly new home. The installation team were prompt, courteous, friend, knowledgeable, and did a great job. The whole team say what they do and do what they say with follow up! The outcome for us exceeded our expectation. The exterior view of the house is exactly what we were hoping for. Interior privacy and view are much better. If anything, we appreciate our view so much more as we don’t have to close our blinds nearly as often. The main reason for the film however was heat reduction and it has reduced the internal radiation greatly. A couple open doors for a cross breeze is enough almost all days.

Game Changer

This was an absolute game changer. We had 7 skylights and within 48 hours they had made us covers. Completely reduced the heat for us during the summer heatwave. Customer service was amazing. Definitely recommend!

Very High Quality

This summer, my husband & I asked Newco to custom make a pull down blind for our back deck. (approx 66" across & almost 8" long..) New neighbours moved in on one side & we needed a privacy shade. We chose Charcoal Grey, V22 that looks fabulous with our black wooden deck cover. The pulley mechanism is so easy to operate & smooth. Our new blind is very high quality, it looks really classy. Not only does the shade provide privacy, it provides a sun block for hot afternoons & contains the warmth from our patio heaters in the evening. We love our new shade!! Leah went out of her way to accommodate our custom request. Many thanks to the staff at Newco, they definitely work as a team. As other customers have testified, we are thrilled with the service Newco provided & we highly recommend this company.

Life Saver

My apartment has exclusively southern exposure, and it gets hot in summer, so brutally hot, indeed, that one of my two cats suffered a stroke six years ago that put an end to his life! I approached Newco Solar Solutions, and before the next summer I had Newco solar film installed on my window and balcony glass doors. What a life saver, indeed, it has been throughout all the following summers to no longer worrying about how hot my home will be and how to best protect my cats. We are all happy, safe and mentally stable - without summer heat concerns! And the staff at Newco is remarkable! At the time of installation I asked about the process, and they responded that I would be doing nothing - except keep the cats away: They would complete every single step until successful completion, which is exactly what happened. The office staff is equally wonderful people to work with. My special appreciation goes out to Leah and Ketty. Noticeably less hot

Just wanted to say thanks for the 'film'. Even though this summer - so far - hasn't been a record setter, I do find my rooms are noticeably less hot than the same sun-conditions in past years. Thaks for the installation.

I see the e-mail [I sent you a few years ago] did not go through, thanking you for these amazing blinds...I could not imagine what our house heat and damage to furniture would have been from the sun...They are not only very functional they are very pleasing to the eye and look great on our house high on the hill. Newco Solar Solutions is absolutely the best! We are a brand new Hair Salon, Eddie & Ev, the salon and the previous business had not only not cleaned the windows in years, but there were ugly 'jail bars' on the window. Stand behind their product

3 years ago, I replaced my original solar screens that were 25+ years old, used to cover our glass roof over the kitchen. We came back because these screens really worked to reduce the summer sun glare and heat build up and the screens lasted. A problem came up with the plastic corner braces breaking down and cracking on the new screens. The only questions asked were when did you purchase them and can you get them to our shop. All corners were repaired no charge under warranty when the corner brace defect was identified by their shop representative. Now I have a third reason to recommend this company; they stand behind their product. Two thumbs up for my vote!!!

Fantastic Quality

In the past year I have been working with Newco Solar Solutions. I had just purchased a condo in the Yaletown area which had the original cloth vertical blinds. On the recommendation of our concierge, I contacted Newco. Measurements were taken, blind type chosen, and installation completed while I was still in Hawaii.

This past winter was my first in Canada. Let’s just say, well, that I kept the heat on.... perhaps a bit higher than most would. By the end of winter the bottoms of the blinds were being effected by the heater just half an inch below. I contacted Leah Newcombe, President of Newco. After viewing a photo I sent her of the blinds, Leah contacted the manufacturer of the blinds, and determined "this is not right"!! Leah came to our condo to inspect the blinds herself. Also during this meeting Leah asked us what our "blind needs" were, and I told her that complete sun block was our want. Leah suggested something I had not been aware of..... roller blinds, (from the ceiling), with complete sun block. Additionally, this type of blind disappears completely into the valance at the ceiling, so window views are 100%, there is no "stack" of curtains on the sides. Sold! I had to have them.

Leah arranged everything, but best, see arranged that ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of what we had paid for the first set of curtains was to be credited to the new blinds. The specific measurements, as well as the installation were done by a gentleman named Wade. He made several suggestions, and was enjoyable to have in the condo as he did his tasks.

The new blinds are up, and they are perfect. We are freed from the early morning sun streaming into the bedroom, as well as the afternoon sun in the living area. Our condo feels bigger, as there are no stacks of curtains hiding views. AND.... the living room blinds are on remote control..... so very James Bond.

The customer service, perfection and above and beyond. The quality, also fantastic. I highly recommend these good folks.

From Cautious to Comfortable
